I've recently graduated with a BSc Management of International Social Challenges from Erasmus University Rotterdam. This year I will be the Chair of the PISE board and will be leading the team with great enthusiasm. I am responsible for addressing members at special occasions. Moreover, I will be organising regular reflection sessions and General Assemblies to reflect on how we work and ensure that the goals and strategy developed is lived by. I am the community manager of the 2022/2023 board of Positive Impact Society Erasmus in Rotterdam. That means that I am responsible for the internal affairs within PISE, such as maintaining the communication between the board and the rest of the community (i.e. committees and members). So if you have anything you want to share with the board, you can come to me. Making sure that the new members feel welcome and are able to integrate in the community is another key part of my role as community manager. I am a student of economics and philosophy and currently am in the process of finishing my master’s in policy economics. Effective Altruism combines ideas from both disciplines. Therefore, when I heard of EA for the first time it immediately clicked with me and I wanted to become better at doing good. PISE provided a wonderful community of people who had this same goal. Therefore, I am honoured that this year I will be part of the board of PISE. I will be in charge of the effective altruism related content at our events.
